• The head of a household must meet specific conditions, including a minimum monthly salary of AED 4,000 or AED 3,000, accommodation, and undergoing a medical fitness examination at approved health centers for all family members above 18.
• Mothers and residents can sponsor their children under specific circumstances by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security, and their parents can sponsor their parents annually.
• To transfer family sponsorship from a temporary entry permit to a residence visa, the modification process must be completed within 60 days of entering the country.
• Medically unfit individuals are not granted residence permits in the UAE. If a person has an old or inactive pulmonary TB, they are considered medically fit and granted a one-year visa.
• The UAE has executed digital visa system since October 2022, optimizing the experience for foreigners in terms of residency. The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security or the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs can be contacted for updates on residence visa conditions and regulations. Electronic channels, such as E-channels, the Dubai General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs website, and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security app, are also available.
